The Bible Commands us to study The Word daily. It's not just a book! It is so much more, for those who call on the name of Jesus the Christ.
Act 17:10 And the brethren immediately sent away Paul and Silas by night unto Berea: who coming thither went into the synagogue of the Jews. Act 17:11 These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so. Act 17:12 Therefore many of them believed; also of honourable women which were Greeks, and of men, not a few. Act 17:13 But when the Jews of Thessalonica had knowledge that the word of God was preached of Paul at Berea, they came thither also, and stirred up the people. Act 17:14 And then immediately the brethren sent away Paul to go as it were to the sea: but Silas and Timotheus abode there still.
Their are so many religions, so many different views on how to be saved. How do you know what to believe? The Scriptures say: Gal 1:7 "....... there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ" & John 17:17 "Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth" & 1Jn 2:7 "Brethren, I write no new commandment unto you, but an old commandment which ye had from the beginning. The old commandment is the word which ye have heard from the beginning" & Mar 12:24 "And Jesus answering said unto them, Do ye not therefore err, because ye know not the scriptures, neither the power of God?" & John 5:39 "Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me (Jesus)" & 2Ti 3:16 "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:" 2Co 11:4 "For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him."
