Psalm 62:1-2,6-9,14 For God alone my soul in silence waits; from him comes my salvation. He alone is my rock and my salvation, my stronghold, so that I shall not be greatly shaken For God alone my soul in silence waits; truly, my hope is in him. He alone is my rock and my salvation, my stronghold, so that I shall not be shaken. In God is my safety and my honor; God is my strong rock and my refuge. Put your trust in him always, O people, pour out your hearts before him, for God is our refuge Steadfast love is yours, O Lord, for you repay everyone according to his deeds (James)

TWO ‘MINOR’ PROPHETS AND THE DAY OF THE LORD

Posted: 22 Jun 2010 04:13 PM PDT

(Print)

There are twelve "minor" prophets that are yet to be really discovered by most Christians. (They are called "minor" simply because they are smaller – shorter, more terse, and concise.) Yet they contain some of the most fascinating and provocative prophecies you’ll find anywhere in the Scriptures. Here’s a glimpse of two of . . . → Read More: TWO 'MINOR' PROPHETS AND THE DAY OF THE LORD . . . → Read More: TWO ‘MINOR’ PROPHETS AND THE DAY OF THE LORD

"By steadfast love and faithfulness iniquity is atoned for, and by the fear of the Lord one turns away from evil. When a man’s ways please the Lord, he makes even his enemies to be at peace with him." (Prov 16:6-7) This is a great testimony! God does the impossible for his own. (Nathan)

Now in the morning, having risen a long while before daylight, He went out and departed to a solitary place; and there He prayed. Mark 1:35 The Bible records for us many times that Jesus prayed. As He walked our planet and breathed our air as God in human form, He felt the need to be in constant communion with His Father. If Jesus felt the necessity to pray constantly, then how much more should we? If you want to grow spiritually, then prayer must be a vital and regular part of your life. Pray at all times and for all things as Jesus gave us His example to follow. (Brian)

Forgiveness (Eph 1:7 http://blb.sc/2gXq). The very heart of Christianity. Such a need! Such a sacrifice to meet the need! Jesus Christ by an act of the will set aside His absolute right, privilege, and just requirement to destroy sin and everything tainted by it. (Though He still will one day—2Pe 3:10-11 http://blb.sc/2iwn.) In the very middle of dying, He with urgency and assurance asked God the Father to forgive His murderers (Luke 23:34 http://blb.sc/2adE). We are free indeed, free to be loved. (Rom 8:2 http://blb.sc/2eY1). For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death. Have we however put ourselves back into bondage by failing to forgive?
