Posted: 02 Jul 2010 02:21 AM PDT Dear Dads, While most of you had love in your family as you grew up, many times it was not expressed verbally from your father. If you are not already doing so, please start telling your children as often as possible that you love them. Key point for dads:
Try to tell each of your children every day that you love them. It needs to be stated verbally. Don't be embarrassed or assume they know it.
Important Bible verse:
Hebrews 3:13 "…encourage one another daily…"
If you're not telling your kids "I love you," and they are still young, start now so it will be natural to do when they are in high school and then on into adulthood. If your children are older and you are not telling them "I love you," ask the Lord to help you and just do it. God will help you and He will bless it. Your wife needs to be hearing this at least daily also. |
